Elisabeth Shields, LMHC

Telehealth

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with an integrative approach to therapy. I graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and completed my graduate degree at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I provide therapeutic services in an authentic, compassionate, and non-judgmental manner. I value establishing a collaborative relationship with clients in order to empower and encourage them to look inwards and work towards change and acceptance. Working together, I want to help clients cultivate a deeper awareness and understanding of themselves, increase self-esteem and self-worth, and improve relationships and communication with others.

Elisabeth Shields has  experience working with adolescents and adults, especially those suffering from problems with anxiety, grief, low self-esteem, suicide and self-harm, depression, and trauma. I am a Person-Centered therapist and integrate other practices into my treatment to meet the specific needs of my clients. These practices include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, and Trauma-Informed Therapy.
